Service Agreement

The expectations that help Lettura remain a thoughtful place to write, read, and connect.

About this agreement

This Service Agreement is between you and GoMatrix Tech Internet Co., Limited ("Lettura", "we", "us", or "our"). It applies to the Lettura application, this website, and the related letter-writing services we provide. Our contact email is support@lettureapp.com.

By creating an account or using correspondence features, you agree to this agreement and the community rules presented during registration. Our Child Safety Policy forms part of those rules. The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled; acknowledging it does not provide blanket consent to unrelated data uses. If you do not agree to this agreement, do not use the service.

Any separate permission or consent required by law remains necessary. Mandatory consumer and privacy rights take precedence over anything in these terms.

Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old, have the legal capacity to accept this agreement, and be legally permitted to use the service. A parent or guardian cannot authorize use by someone under 18. Enter your actual birthday. Our birthday check relies on the date you provide and is not independent identity or age verification.

The age requirement applies to accounts and correspondence. Anyone may read these policies or contact us about a safety or privacy concern.

Use a supported Google or Apple sign-in account and protect access to it. A display name may be a pseudonym, but you must not impersonate someone, falsify your age, share or sell account access, or evade a suspension or ban. You are responsible for your own conduct and for reasonable steps to secure your account; this does not make you automatically liable for every unauthorized action by another person.

Contact support@lettureapp.com if you suspect unauthorized access or need help correcting account information. We will never ask you to email your Google or Apple password or a one-time sign-in code.

Letters, delivery, and personal boundaries

An original letter may be assigned through Discover to several readers. Replying can open correspondence between two participants; later exchanges remain in that correspondence. Your display name, pigeon avatar, country, and chosen stamp can appear with your letters. A pseudonym does not make a letter untraceable or remove its connection to your account.

Readers choose whether to reply or accept a friendship invitation. Delivery, a particular recipient, replies, friendships, and response times are not guaranteed. Sending limits and allocation rules help manage the service and may be shown in the app.

Unsent original letters and replies exist only in the active editor. There is no manual saving, autosaving, or draft restoration. Closing the editor discards unfinished text.

For a sent original letter, Stop future delivery stops new Discover deliveries. It does not erase existing correspondence or recall delivered copies.

Respect other people's boundaries and exercise care before sharing identifying information, sending money, or moving a conversation to another service. Lettura does not independently verify every user or endorse their statements. It is not a medical, counselling, or emergency service.

Your content and our limited permission

You keep the intellectual property rights you have in the words and other content you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, reproduce, transmit, format, and display that content only as needed to provide the service, maintain correspondence, investigate misuse, and meet legal obligations. Providers working for us may process it only for these purposes.

This permission is limited to the uses and retention described in our Privacy Policy. It is not a transfer of ownership or permission to sell your writing, publish private letters in advertising, or use them for unrelated purposes. It continues after account closure only to the extent needed for lawfully retained correspondence, safety records, or legal obligations.

Submit only content you have a right to share. Do not disclose another person's confidential information or infringe their copyright, privacy, or other rights. Recipients do not acquire a general right to republish your correspondence. Lawful reporting, evidence preservation, and other uses permitted by law are not prohibited by this clause.

Community standards and prohibited conduct

You must not use Lettura to:

  • Harass, stalk, threaten, exploit, or target someone with hateful or discriminatory abuse.
  • Send unwanted sexual content, make coercive sexual requests, or share intimate material without the subject's consent.
  • Engage in child sexual abuse or exploitation, grooming, sexual extortion, or any conduct prohibited by our Child Safety Policy.
  • Commit fraud, impersonate others, solicit money through deception, distribute spam, or send unwanted commercial promotions.
  • Expose private information, facilitate violence or trafficking, or promote or coordinate unlawful harm, terrorism, or self-harm. Seeking help or discussing difficult experiences is not itself a violation.
  • Distribute malware, access another person's account, scrape private correspondence, bypass security or service limits, or automate abusive activity.
  • Retaliate against a reporter, evade a restriction, or knowingly submit false reports.

These rules apply to text, links, profile information, and conduct connected to Lettura. Moving harmful conduct to another platform does not prevent us from addressing a credible risk to Lettura users.

Reports, restrictions, and appeals

Report a concern

Choose Report user in the relevant letter or conversation menu, or email support@lettureapp.com with the account involved and a brief description. For concerns involving a child, follow the child-safety reporting steps. You can report without also choosing to block.

Block further contact

Block prevents further interaction through the available controls. It is permanent in the current version and does not recall delivered content. A block alone does not submit a report. Do not use another account or another person to bypass a block or a request to stop contact.

How restrictions are handled

We assess concerns using their context and seriousness. Responses may include a warning, a feature restriction, disabling distribution or access to content, suspension, or account closure. Urgent safety, security, or legal concerns may require action before notice. Reporting does not guarantee a particular outcome or immediate review.

Appeal a decision

If you believe a restriction is mistaken, email support@lettureapp.com. Include the account concerned, the decision or notice if available, and the reason you disagree. The suggested subject is “Lettura account appeal”; no special wording or access to the restricted account is required.

Opening an email link does not submit an appeal: you must send the message. If the link does not open an email app, write to the address shown above. Do not include passwords, verification codes, or illegal material.

We will consider relevant information and explain the outcome where possible. An appeal does not automatically restore access. Details may be withheld to protect another person's privacy or safety, preserve an investigation, or comply with law. Contacting us does not limit your legal remedies.

Flowers, stamps, and paid features

Flowers are an appreciation feature, and stamps are digital collectibles usable within Lettura. Their availability and earning or redemption rules depend on the current features. They are not money, financial assets, or physical postage, and cannot be exchanged for cash or sold outside the service. Account deletion ends your access to account-linked collectibles.

The current version does not offer paid memberships, subscriptions, or purchases. These terms do not authorize a future charge. If paid features are introduced, we will present the price and relevant payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms before a purchase.

Platform materials and rights complaints

Lettura's software, artwork, brand, and interface belong to their respective rights holders. You receive permission to use the service for your personal use as provided, not to sell or commercially redistribute those materials. Open-source components remain subject to their own licences. Restrictions here do not override uses that applicable law permits.

To report infringement, email support@lettureapp.com with your contact information, the work or right involved, where the disputed content appears, and why you believe the use is unauthorized. Explain whether you are the rights holder or an authorized representative. Do not attach illegal material or disclose unrelated private correspondence. We may request information needed to assess the claim and comply with applicable notice procedures.

Deleting your account

Open Me → Settings → Delete account and follow the confirmation and any required sign-in verification. If you cannot use the app, follow the email deletion instructions. Signing out or uninstalling alone does not delete your account.

Your request covers the account and its associated personal information; you do not need to list every record or apply twice. Deletion removes account access and starts private-data cleanup. Some records can remain after automatic cleanup, including sent content, historical identity, collection and activity records, and safety evidence. The retention section explains these categories and the need for a lawful reason to retain them.

Account deletion does not recall delivered letters or erase independent copies made by recipients. Contact us if data remains or you need an explanation of a retention exception. Clauses concerning lawfully retained content, intellectual property, outstanding responsibilities, and disputes continue only while their subject matter requires.

Availability, changes, and responsibility

Maintenance, network problems, provider outages, and security work can interrupt access. We may update or discontinue features for operational, safety, or legal reasons. Where reasonably practicable, we will give notice of significant changes affecting existing use. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, a particular response from another user, or the accuracy of user-supplied information.

Each party is responsible to the extent applicable law provides. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or other conduct for which the law requires responsibility. These terms do not remove statutory guarantees or prevent you from seeking available remedies.

We will identify revisions by their date and provide appropriate notice of material changes before they apply, except where urgent legal or safety needs require otherwise. Revised terms apply prospectively. Where law requires agreement or consent, posting a revision alone is insufficient.

Disputes and interpretation

You can contact support@lettureapp.com to seek an informal resolution. This is voluntary and does not prevent you from approaching a regulator, seeking urgent relief, or bringing a claim in a court available under applicable law. This agreement does not impose mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver, or an exclusive foreign court.

Applicable law determines the law and courts relevant to a dispute, including any mandatory protections in your country of residence. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remainder continues to apply to the extent lawful. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. We will not transfer our obligations in a way that reduces your mandatory rights.
